Blushing Fairytale Wedding Flowers

Kalista and Mark got married in a blushing floral-decked ceremony in Kapalua, and romance was in the eye of every beholder. Here’s what went into their designs:

THE BOUQUETS

Kalista’s bouquet was a bit of a princess. What with the ruffly ranunculus, petticoat dahlias, and the buttery snapdragon petals (all in a peachy-pink colorway), all that was missing was the princess dress—oh wait… Actually nothing was missing.

And the princess vibes didn’t stop there. Everyone in Kalista’s bridal party wore, of course, ballet-pink gowns. They also carried what we like to call bridal bouquet mini-me’s—just as blushing and ruffly for that extra romance in the air.

THE CEREMONY

The tropical elements throughout the day’s florals—anthurium lilies, orchids, and awapuhi (Hawaiian ginger)—were dialed up in the ceremony installation thanks to the base of monstera leaves. They brought subtle cohesion to the design and landscape, which (surprise!) your florist knows to consider.

Speaking of cohesion, we love aisle markers for the way they fill out a wedding’s design. They can also easily be transported to the reception zone post-ceremony to be enjoyed all day, which, in this case, they were. In addition to their aisle markers, Kalista and Mark requested chair ties (those little posies tied with ribbons to the chair backs) with amaranth strung between them. The vibe was very fairytale wedding, and we loved making it a reality.

THE RECEPTION

The aisle-markers-turned-centerpieces were low enough to talk and toast over but lush enough to get lost in between courses (yes, those roses smelled incredible). As for the chair ties from the I do’s? They were put back to work in the wedding tent to mark places of honor.
