Vivid Tropical Fusion Wedding Flowers

In search of mood-boostingly vivid wedding flowers? You’ve come to the right place. Our designs for this tropical fusion Sugar Beach affair were pretty in pink—all the more so against wedding whites and ocean blues. Here’s what was in them…

THE PERSONALS

Angela’s bouquet starred a few tropical classics like anthurium, orchids, and Asiatic lilies. And for added romance, we filled out the arrangement with gradient-petaled coral charm peonies, ranunculus, and spray roses. As for her lei po’o (flower crown), we wove more ranunculus and orchids into Italian ruscus. When she donned the final product, she essentially transformed into a fairy queen, so…we think we understood the assignment.

Oliver’s lei, meanwhile, was hand-twisted from local ti leaves by yours truly. And see all those leaf tips throughout? It’s what makes it maile-style. We adore the symbolism it carries for love and respect—and it’s just such a stately form of adornment.

THE CEREMONY

Bubblegum-hued awapuhi, fuchsia-speckled godetia… These were a few of the vibrant blooms making this beachside ceremony positively postcard-worthy. And while foliage often has a habit of humbly fading into the background of the main event, those monstera leaves and palm fronds were loud and proud.

THE RECEPTION

If you like that hanging install now, you should have seen the foliage and rattan lamp shades moving on the gentle breeze. And about that wedding cake arch… Look familiar? When you can’t get enough of your wedding ceremony install, turn it into your dessert table locale. Just one way to have your cake and eat it too.
