Funky Rainbow Wedding Flowers

A bride and groom sit kissing on an outdoor staircase flanked by bright and wild rainbow floral arrangements. The groom wears a dark teal suit with a colorful patterned shirt, and the bride wears a blue chiffon gown and carries a rainbow bouquet.

Jackie and Josh stole our hearts with their fun personalities and unique style. Filled with details to delight—like the Twisted Tiki Bar, a guest phone, and of course COLORFUL FLOWERS—their upcountry Maui wedding at the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center in Makawao was one to remember.

It was a special one in the Floralette books—because not only did this husband-wife Maui wedding florist duo get married at the Hui too…we’re also big fans of color.

To fill the rainbow floral prompt, we used an eclectic variety of flowers—from locally-grown dahlias and limey anthuriums, to dainty chamomile and oncidium orchids. Ruffled garden roses helped to pull you in, and bouncy scabiosa kept you looking. We rounded it all off with gorgeous local lisianthus with touches of blue tweedia, carnations, and butterfly ranunculus. What a cast!
